Pastor Harkness has served Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church since 2022. She is a graduate
of The Defiance College (BA in Music Education), Kean University (MA, Curriculum and
Instruction in Elementary Education, 1995), United Lutheran Seminary (M.Div. 2006)
now United Lutheran Seminary, and multiple continuing education classes at Yale
Divinity School in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Care. She lives in Pipersville, PA with
her husband Jeffrey. They have an adult son, Theodore, who lives in Fairfax, VA with his
wife, Priscilla.

After college, she worked at various jobs. Eventually, she worked for an investment
banking firm in NYC and became an Assistant Vice President in charge of the Computer
Services Department. During those nine years, she met her husband, Jeffrey, married
and had a son, Theodore. She left Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette to raise Theo and while
doing so, she obtained her Master of Arts degree in education. After working for five
years with the Central Bucks School District, she entered the Lutheran Theological
Seminary at Philadelphia (now United Lutheran Seminary) and served various
congregations in the area before serving 14 years at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
in Southampton.

Currently she is a member of the SEPA Antiracism Team, Vitality Team, and Upper
Bucks Executive Board. She enjoys singing with the Bucks County Choral Society. She
is a member of the Springtown Lion's Club, and her neighborhood book club.

Pastor Harkness loves music, reading, and solving various kinds of puzzles. She is
passionate about ministry, teaching Bible Study, and social justice and is learning
Spanish as a second language.
