Know that you are welcome here even if…

 ...this is your first time in a church, you’ve been a Lutheran all your life, you’re from another Christian tradition or another faith,

          or you claim no faith at all;

...you’re a woman, a man, or don’t fit into gender definitions;

...you’re an infant (even when you’re crying or while you’re breastfeeding), an elder, or anywhere in between;

...your skin color or heritage doesn’t match the person beside you, you’re a refugee or immigrant, or you’re pure Pennsylvania Dutch;

...you’re gay, lesbian, bisexual, straight, or transgender;

...you suffer from addiction or you have a criminal record;

...you love money, are broke, or feel trapped by debt;
...you have special needs;
...you’re single, married, divorced, widowed, or partnered;
...you can sing an aria or you can’t even hum in tune;
...you have nothing to give or you have an abundance of gifts;
...you’re a sinner, you think you can’t be forgiven, you feel you don’t deserve God’s love, or you’re afraid God hates you.

As Lutherans, we believe we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and we believe that Christ’s welcome extends particularly to sinners like you and me (Matthew 9:13). No matter who you are, we will find a way to welcome you. Please tell us if there are any special needs you have.
